DC Comics and McFarlane Toys are teaming up.

The future of DC Comics and McFarlane Toys.

Via IGN and Toynewsi, McFarlane Toys has announced they have entered into a licensing agreement with Warner Bros to do 6"-12" ultra-posable action figures based on the DC Comics library of characters.

Now this doesn't necessarily exclude Mattel from continuing their own figures, and Mattel has yet to make any kind of formal announcement about this, but I think the writing is on the wall now.

McFarlane Toys figures generally are not known for articulation, however if you have checked out their recent Fortnite figures, then you know the company has been making improvements on that front, so we’ll just have to wait and see what they do here, and will Todd McFarlane, the man behind the company who is a comic book artist great, how much influence will he have on the actual designs? Would Todd McFarlane inspired DC figures interest you?

McFarlane won't be taking over until 2020 so don't expect any reveals from them this year at Toy Fair on the DC front, but SDCC will probably be an interesting time for DC fans. We will be interviewing Todd himself this weekend so you better believe this will be topic of discussion #1 for us when we do.

Coming Soon: Star Wars Force Link 2.0 Kessel Mine Escape Exclusive Playset (Solo: A Star Wars Story)

Dropping Q1 of 2019 is the Exclusive Kessel Mine Escape Playset from SOLO: A Star Wars Story.

This one of a kind playset is compatible with Hasbro’s 3.75” Star Wars action figures. Consisting of plastic and cardboard (yes, cardboard) this playset and others like it scream all kinds of nostalgia to me. During a time when Kenner could sell you a cardboard coupon or you were excited to get a cardboard backdrop of an At-AT. Though I’m not a big fan personally of the current 3.75” action figures, this playset gets a tip off the ol’ hat from me.

So what’s your thoughts? Picking this up or passing?
