Marvel Comics Stan Lee has passed away at age 95.


I’m in shock and with a heavy heavy heart, we report that Stan Lee has passed away today at the age of 95.

LOS ANGELES (WIBW) -- The man who created some of the comic book legends we grew up with has died Monday morning, according to TMZ.

The website reports Stan Lee was taken to the hospital Monday morning where he died. It adds Lee had been battling pneumonia and vision problems lately.

He was 95.

Lee is best-known for co-founding Marvel Comics, one of the largest comic book publishers in the world.

He is credited with helping create some of the most popular characters, including:

  • Spider-Man;

  • Huld;

  • Doctor Strange;

  • Fantastic Four;

  • Daredevil;

  • Black Panther, and;

  • X-Men.

    • Along with Larry Lieber, he helped come up with:

      • Ant-Man;

      • Iron Man, and;

      • Thor
